There are more than enough appealing attractions to see in Lubbock, among the most favorite and visited ones being:

Joyland Amusement Park, perhaps, Lubbock's most visited family-friendly attraction, featuring thrilling rides and fun water slides for the enjoyment of all family members. Spending a fun day out at the Joyland Amusement Park is considered a ''must'', while visiting Lubbock.

Buddy Holly Center, which has the mission to provide world-renowned interactive and dynamic exhibits and programs on Texas Music and contemporary visual arts, featuring eye-catching exhibits that include artifacts, materials and artworks, relevant to Lubbock's most famous native son, Buddy Holly, as well as to other performing artists and musicians of West Texas.

TTU's Lubbock Lake Landmark‎, an archaeological and natural history preserve, situated at the northern edge of the city, featuring exhibits that reveal 12,000 years of occupation by ancient peoples on the Southern High Plains. Lubbock Lake Landmark is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is a designated National Historic and State Archeological Landmark.

American Museum of Agriculture, featuring a collection that includes historic agricultural items which range from household items to Moldboard plows and tractors, including a threshing machine, broadcast binder, combine, 71 pedal tractors, 300 die-cast toy tractors, and approximately 300 other artifacts and pieces of smaller equipment. The American Museum of Agriculture is open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm, from Wednesday through Saturday.

Annual Events

The 2 most popular and expected events of all Lubbock's annual events are, perhaps, the Praire Festival and the 4th on Broadway Celebration, both providing fun and entertainment for the whole family.

The Prairie Festival is an indoor event that offers 25 booths, speakers on prairie science, ecology, restoration and much more, including interesting things to buy, food, drinks and music, while the 4th on Broadway Celebration is a free, outdoor family event that focuses attention on the historical significance and importance of the downtown area, the activities offered including a Musical Festival, a singing contest, a street fair, a fireworks display and a parade.
