Arabia Steamboat Museum, home to one of the largest collection of pre-civil war items in the world. The museum is open between 10 am and 5 30 pm, from Monday through Saturday, and from 12 noon to 5 pm, on Sundays.

Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, recognized internationally as one of the finest general art museums in the United States, featuring more than 33,500 works of art, including African, American, American Indian, Ancient, Chinese, European, Japanese and decorative art works.

Worlds of Fun, which is exactly what its name says: a world and ocean of fun. This is a place dedicated for family fun, featuring rides, shows, water slides, delicious food, children's play areas and much, much more. The amusement park is divided into 2 fun areas: one which contains ''water fun'' and one that contains ''ground or air fun'' - both perfect for spending a memorable vacation day with the family.

Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, featuring a permanent collection that contains more than 1000 works of art, including painting, sculpture, installations, prints, and works on paper, photography, and time-based media.

Kansas City Museum, Kansas City's first, and most important, museum of local and regional history. The Museum collections are encyclopedic and represent major periods of the City's development from the mid-19th century to the present day. The museum's collections of note include the Colonel Daniel Dyer Collection of Native American artifacts, their quilt collection, with over 100 of the finest examples from the region, and the Warner Untersee photography collection, comprising more than 200,000 images and objects from his 1950s studio.

Annual Events

The Annual Kansas City Riverfest is considered to be the city's most expected annual event. This fun-filled celebration takes place at Richard Berkley Riverfront Park, in July, and features all kinds of entertainment, including a fireworks spectacular, food, drinks, live music and good times.

During the event, a fun area for children is also available, in which they can enjoy a variety of rides, attractions and activities just for them. Visitors can also purchase unique items from the KCRiverFest Marketplace, where many interesting items and services for sale, plus numerous exhibits, are available.
