The Annual Fargo Marathon seems to be on the top of the list of the most popular annual sporting events in Fargo. The first Fargo Marathon was held in 2005, representing a major attraction in Fargo, being held every year, since then, attracting amateur and professional athletes from all over the region, every time it takes place.

 

The marathon happens in May, and consists of a full-marathon, a half-marathon, a team relay, a 10k and a 5k run, as well as a fun youth run, which begins and ends at the FargoDome. The marathon and half marathon takes runners through the beautiful cities, near Fargo – Minnesota and Moorhead – which means that the participants will cross 2 states, in one race.

 

Festivals

Perhaps the most popular annual festival in Fargo is the Annual Red River Valley Fair, celebrated in July, which is a 9-day fun, entertaining carnival, featuring concerts, car racings, bull ridings, as well as tons of other enjoyable activities, for all family members.
