Sports & outdoor events

 

The MS Walk is an annual free event, held every spring in San Luis Obispo, on Monterey and Chorro Streets.

 

It is a fund raising event where hundreds of thousands supporters walk in order to help people with multiple sclerosis end their suffering and gain hope.

 

Joining this event, there are other 2 MS events: Bike MS and the Challenge Walk.

 

The Bike MS consists in 100 riders across the nation in behalf of the people who suffer with MS.

The Callenge Walk is a 2 or 3 days event, featuring a 30 mile walk, in 9 destinations across the country.

 

Festivals

 

California International Choral Festival: the festival is held at Cal Poly campus, in June, presenting choral performances.

 

Festival Mozaic: it takes place every summer, in San Luis Obispo, and it is a unique musical festival, entertaining visitors with Latin music, blues, jazz and rock and roll.

 

Annual HANDs on Health festival: It is a 2-day community event, taking place at Cal Poly campus. The festival presents the latest researches regarding human health to an audience of medical professionals, students and scientists.

 

Visitors will also be able to taste new recipes or watch cooking demonstrations. There are also free health and dental screenings, as well as workshops, games, educational programs and food-related activities.
