As posted on Brevard's official site, ''On March 21, 2005, the City of Brevard enacted Resolution Number 22-05, thereby adopting the 2005 Comprehensive Transportation Plan (hereafter, ''CTP'') as official policy and a guide toward the development of a multi-modal transportation system for the City of Brevard.'' Since then, there have been made some improvements, regarding the city's transportation system, but, according to previous visitors, the best way to get around in the city is considered to be by car.

Walking or riding the bike are also popular ways to get around in Brevard, although, there are convenient only for short-distance trips, within town. For long sightseeing trips, outside Brevard, a car is very much needed.

From Charlotte/Douglas International Airport: Head east on Airport Loop Rd toward Airport Parking Dr and make a slight right toward Old Dowd Rd. Take the 1st left onto Old Dowd Rd and turn right at Little Rock Rd. Turn left to stay on Little Rock Rd and again toward I-85 S. Turn right to merge onto I-85 S toward Gastonia and Take exit 10B to merge onto US-74 W/Andrew Jackson Hwy toward Kings Mountain/Shelby. Continue to follow US-74 W and merge onto I-26 W. Take exit 49B to merge onto US-64 W/4 Seasons Blvd/Chimney Rock Rd toward Hendersonville and continue to follow US-64 W. Turn left at Buncombe St and then take the 1st right onto 6th Ave W. Continue onto US-64 W/Brevard Rd and continue to follow US-64 W. Turn left at US-276 S/US-64 W and again at N Broad St. Brevard College will be on the left.
