>> Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument, where visitors can get a glimpse into the homes and lives of the Mogollon people who lived in this area over 700 years ago. The monument is surrounded by the Gila National Forest and lies within the rugged Gila Wilderness, the nation's first wilderness area.

>> The Silver City Museum, located in downtown Silver City, which reveals the regional history, through various displays of objects and historic artifacts. Silver City Museum is open with free admission from 9:00 AM to 4:30PM Tuesday through Friday and 10:00 AM to 4:00PM Saturdays and Sundays.

>> The WNMU Museum and Mimbres Pottery Collection, housed on the campus of Western New Mexico University, home to one of the world's most complete and comprehensive collections of Mimbres pottery, basketry, and other artifacts, in the Eisele Collection of Prehistoric Southwestern Pottery and Artifacts.

- Red Paint Pow Wow, which happens in January, a competition among Native Americans from across the continent,

- and the Annual Lighted Christmas Parade, happening in late November, through historic downtown Silver City, a joyous holiday event and an annual tradition for 20 years, among many other.
