Boomsday, which takes place in September, is perhaps, Knoxville's most photogenic and expected annual event.

 

This sparklin' celebration takes place on Knoxville's gorgeous waterfront, and it is the biggest single-day event in the state of Tennessee and the largest fireworks show in the southeast United States, attracting hundreds of thousands of enthusiasts, from all over the region, every year, offering them a unique, memorable experience like none other.

 

Boomsday is free to the public and includes live entertainment, usually from 5 pm until 9 pm.
