Museum of the Confederacy, featuring the world's most comprehensive collection of artifacts, manuscripts, and photographs from the Confederate States of America, the centerpiece of the museum complex being a separate structure a few yards north of the museum building, across a shady, peaceful garden - The White House of the Confederacy was where Confederate President Jefferson Davis and his family lived from 1861-1865. Valentine Richmond History Center, dedicated to collecting, preserving and interpreting Richmond, Virginia ’s history for more than 100 years, among its most popular permanent exhibits being the Wickham House and Collection, which provides guided tours of the Wickham House, a National Historic Landmark, which gives visitors the chance to get a glimpse into the life in the early 19th century.
