The Annual Norman Conquest is a popular annual event which happens in July, in Norman, and despite its name, it is a fun ride and not a race, which begins and ends in the parking lot of the J.D. McCarthy Center, the center of excellence in the care and treatment of children, with developmental disabilities, in Oklahoma.

 

The Norman Conquest is a popular fund raising event, which attracts more people every year, benefiting various charities in the region.

 

Festivals

The Annual Medieval Fair at the University of Oklahoma is a popular Norman festival, celebrated each April, a free and open to the public entertaining event that takes people in a journey, back in time.

 

The Medieval Fair consists of various fun activities, including medieval fighting simulations, puppet plays for the entertainment of the little ones, musical performances, as well as hands-on exhibits of arts and crafts, and medieval games.

 

Nightlife

Due to the fact that it is home of University of Oklahoma, Norman City has a very active nightlife scene, and the students fill the popular nightspots in the city almost every night, especially during football season.
