The Annual Boulder Backroads Marathon, happening in September, in Boulder, CO, which is 1 hour away from Greeley, by car, is perhaps one of the most popular annual sporting events in Colorado.

 

This fun annual run, through the country roads in the beautiful rural Boulder community (which benefits Habitat for Humanity and which starts and ends at the Boulder Reservoir), attracts hundreds of participants and spectators, every year, continuously growing in both size and popularity.

The Cinco de Mayo Festival which happens in Denver, CO (1 hour and 15 min. from Greeley, by car), in May, at the Civic Center Park, attracts a number of approximately 300 000 visitors, annually, being the largest celebration of its kind in USA.

 

This fun annual event has everything: live entertainment, art exhibitions, food and drinks, children's activities, and much, much more.

 

The Telluride Blues & Brews Festival takes place at Town Park, in September, in Telluride, CO (8 hours, by car, from Greeley). This fun 3-day festival is filled with music, food and drink vendors, and lots of entertaining festival-like activities.

 

The famous German celebration, known as Oktoberfest comes to Vail, CO (3 hours, by car, from Greeley), every year, in September. If you describe yourself as a beer person, be sure not to miss this event!
