Sports & outdoor events

Every year, in February, New Orleans hosts the Rock & Roll Mardi Gras Marathon & Half Marathon, which is considered to be one of the most popular and favorite annual sporting events in the state. The 2010 edition was held on February 28, and attracted nearly 6000 enthusiastic runners from all over the region.

 

The course was set through the city streets of New Orleans, including the downtown district, revealing some of city's most beautiful features and architectural `jewels`.
