Getting around Las Vegas is easy, due to the fact that there are various transportation options, such as shuttles, taxi services, car rentals, using the Las Vegas public transit system, trolleys or the Las Vegas Monorail, which runs from the MGM Grand Hotel to Sahara Avenue, operating 7 days a-week, between 7 am and 2 am.
The 2 most used bus routes in Vegas are the 301 and 302, both running from the Strip (south) to Fremont Street, a single ticket only costing $2.00. The trolleys are traveling from The Stratosphere to the South Strip area and do not run routes to Fremont Street. The trolleys are usually less crowded and cheaper than the CAT buses, a single trip only costing $1.50. If you want to see Las Vegas in style, and you're not on a budget, you can even rent a limo. This kind of service will make you get $35/hour out of your pocket.
The taxi fares in Las Vegas City start from $3.30, plus $2.65 for every additional mile. If you do not have to travel far from your hotel, a great option would be to see Vegas by foot, especially by night - you will be amazed by the way the city "glows" after the sun goes down.
