Major Highways and Roads

Urbana's downtown district is located southwest of the US 150 (University Avenue) and US 45 (Vine Street-Cunningham Avenue) intersection, 2 of the city's busiest streets. Most of the city lies south of I-74, and there are exits: Cunningham, Lincoln and University. The closest exit to the University of Illinois is Lincoln, and the closest exit to Urbana's downtown district is Cunningham. The University ext also goes to downtown Urbana, including the Illinois Route 130 to Philo.

Public Transportation

MTD provides bus service 7 days a week, from the airport to Urbana, and vice versa, during University of Illinois Fall and Spring Semesters and Summer Session.

Taxi/Limo

There are also plenty of taxi services and limo rentals, in the city as well as at the airport, but are not recommended if you're on a budget during your stay in Urbana or Champaign, because the fares are not exactly cheap.

From University of Illinois Willard Airport: Start by heading south on Airport Road, toward Airport Road/County Road 1100 N. Turn left at Airport Road/County Road 1100 N and take the 2nd left onto S Dunlap Street. Continue onto S Neil Street/US-45 N and turn right at E Springfield Avenue. Turn right at S 6th Street. At this point, you should be able to locate U of I's campus, which will be somewhere on your right.
