Interesting museums, amazing aquariums and beautiful parks - these are just a few of the appealing attractions which can be found in Corpus Christi. Some of the city's most visited and favorite attractions are listed below. Check it out!

USS Lexington Museum, a World War II era aircraft carrier, where an adventure awaits around every corner, as you make your way through the maze of tunnels and ladders. The ship also contains a MEGA theatre, a flight simulator and a great cafe where you can relax and enjoy the view. The USS LEXINGTON Museum is open seven days a week and can be found just across the ship channel from downtown Corpus Christi.

Texas State Aquarium, which gives visitors the chance to get a closer look at the beautiful and colorful marine life, featuring exhibits such as the Dolphin Bay, the Living Shores, the Islands of Steel or the Floating Phantoms, a few of the aquarium's most popular highlights. The newest addition at the aquarium is the Swamp Tales exhibit, which tells the story of the American Alligator, showcasing species that are currently threatened, teaching visitors what to do to help protect them.

South Texas Art Museum, home to more than 1,300 works of art in the media of painting, sculpture, prints, drawings, collages, mixed media, ceramics, and textiles. The museum's permanent collection focuses on fine art and craft of the Americas with particular interest in Texas and surrounding states, including those in Mexico.

Asian Cultures Museum, a place where visitors can learn about ancient Japanese customs, the artistry of Japanese kimonos and porcelains, or admire the beauty of artifacts from India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Hmong, Thailand, the Philippines, Korea, Taiwan, Laos and Myanmer, each exhibit revealing the treasures, stories and richness of the represented country.

Annual Events

Corpus Christi's Bayfest is considered to be South Texas' favorite annual music event. It is a celebration which represents the best of Corpus Christi, and provides fine festival entertainment for area residents and visitors, including food, beverages, game booths and artisans, every year, in September.
