Getting around in Corvallis, OR

If you plan to drive to Corvallis then this travel route might come in handy: Start by taking I-5 South to the I-34 exit or exit 228b. Head W. on 34 about 10 miles and you will cross a bridge which leads you into downtown Corvallis. You can also turn left at the last light before the bridge, indicated by a sign saying `regon Coast / Reser Stadium,` then take the exit that says Eugene/Junction City and that will take you into Southtown Corvallis avoiding the narrow one way streets.

 

The public transportation service in Corvallis is provided by Corvallis Transit System which runs through the entire Corvallis area, providing efficient transportation service pretty much anywhere, including in and around the city. The buses are available on weekdays and Saturdays. Travelling on Interstate 5: Take the Highway 34 exit which reads `Corvallis / Oregon State University` (exit number 228). Go west on Highway 34 for about 10 miles to Corvallis. Cross the Willamette River Bridge onto Harrison Blvd. Two blocks from the bridge you will need to turn left (south) onto 4th Street. Continue on 4th Street until you reach SW Western Blvd, and then turn right (west). Continue on SW Western Blvd until you reach SW 26th street, and then turn right (north).

 

Travelling on Highway 34/SW Philomath Boulevard: Drive into Corvallis from the coast/Newport/Alsea (east) on Hwy 34 turn left onto SW 26th street and cross over SW Western Boulevard.

 

Travelling on 99 W, from Eugene: Head into Corvallis (north), on 99W, which in some point becomes SE 3rd Street. Cross over the small bridge on SE 3rd and then move into far left hand lane to turn left onto SW Western Blvd (west). Continue on SW Western Blvd until you reach SW 26th street, and then turn right (north).

 

Travelling on 99 W, from Monmouth: Head into Corvallis (south), on 99 W, which in some point becomes NW 4th Street. Continue on 4th Street until you reach SW Western Blvd, and then turn right (west). Continue west on SW Western Blvd until you reach SW 26th street, and then turn right (north).
