The Ricky Byrdsong Memorial Race Against Hate, which will be celebrating its 11th edition on June 20, in 2010, is perhaps one of the most popular and favorite annual sporting events in Evanston, IL.

The event consists of 5K and 10K runs, including a fun youth mile, as well as all kinds of entertainment, music, refreshments and fun activities for the entire family.

The flat and fast scenic course, through which the participants are taken, lies along Lake Michigan, offering runners amazing views, along the way. Some of the proceeds will benefit the work of the YWCA Evanston/North Shore, particularly in areas of racial equity and violence prevention.
