Car
Getting around in Evanston, by car, is a great idea, as long as you're not on a budget. Driving your own car (or a rental one), may not be as expensive as using the cab services and it can come in handy, especially if you're planning to explore the city and its surroundings, by yourself, but, if you're on a tight budget, the best way to get around in Evanston remains the bus. You can even get around by bike, and, now that the CTA buses are all equipped with bike racks, it couldn't be easier.
