Spend a fun day out with the family at White's amusement center, located on Cranston Road, where you can enjoy fun, family-friendly rides and activities.

 

If you happen to visit Morehead during the hot season, chill out at Morehead City Pool, on Cornett Road.

 

Check out the schedule from the Visual & Performing Arts Four, located on Ditney Ridge Road, and enjoy yourself in a more `cultural` manor.

 

Get in touch with nature and catch a breath of fresh air at the Eagle Creek State Park, situated on Cardinal Campground Road, in Salt Lick, which is only 15 minutes from Morehead, by car, where you can take advantage of the numerous nature trails available and admire beautiful green surroundings.

 

Sports & outdoor events

Morehead hosted the 2nd (Jesse Hodges) Runaway From Drugs 5K Run/Walk, on May 1st, 2010, which is an annual run/walk kept in order to raise awareness of the drug abuse problems in Rowan County. The run was named in honor of Jesse Hodges, who died in a tragic works accident, last month. The event will start and end at Good Shepherd Printing Services traveling a course along West Main Street for approximately 3.1 miles. There are no entering fees but donations are accepted and well appreciated.
