- Mount Kato Ski Area, located one mile south of Mankato, in the scenic Minnesota River Valley, featuring 19 trails, 8 chair lifts, a full service rental shop and plenty of snow.

- Rasmussen Park, the only park in Mankato designed solely for passive recreation, a beautiful, picturesque 150-acre piece of nature, where outdoor enthusiasts can hike the trails, enjoy the natural beauty of the area and to observe the wide variety of wildlife.

- Wildlife Safari Museum, which can be found on Military Road.

- City Center Public Art Tour, a public art tour that will guide you through City Center Mankato, giving you a tour of artwork dating back to 1894.

- Save Mor Jewelry, believed to be the oldest building in Mankato. The original structure was built of Mankato Kasota stone by George Maxfield, owner of Mankato's first quarry. It served as the office for the nearby quarry.
