The bus trasit within the city is provided by Metropolitan Transit Authority, through a newly built hub station downtown. The regular adult, one-way trip fare is $1.60. No transfers are allowed. An all-day pass for an adult is $4.80.

Although Nashville is a major rail hub, heaving a large CSX Transportation freight rail yard, it is one of the largest cities in the States, which is not served by Amtrak.

 

The rail service in the area is offered by The Music City Star, which operates a commuter train that runs from Lebanon to Downtown's Riverfront Station. One-Way tickets can be purchased at the platform and are $5 each. Shuttle 94 loops through Downtown. If you wish to go to any other place in the city, take the Downtown Shuttle at the Riverfront Station, exit at the downtown bus mall, and then catch the bus that goes to your destination.

From Nashville International Airport: Head south on Terminal Dr. and then take the ramp onto I-40 W. Take exit 213A on the left to merge onto I-440 W, toward Memphis, and take the US-431 S/Hillsboro Pike exit. Merge onto US-431 S/21st Ave S and continue to follow US-431 S. Turn left at Woodmont Blvd. and right at Belmont Blvd. Turn left. Lipscomb University will be on the left.
