The public transportation service in the Pittsburgh area is provided by PAT (Porth Authority), which operates bus, light rail, and incline service, with the bus service covering much of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County and the light rail service, also known as ''The T'', linking the downtown area with the south area (but do to the fact that it does not cover any points of interest, it is not the first choice for visitors).
