Annual Green/Green Day Half Marathon, 10K & 5K, Saturday, September 18, 2010.


The Run for Green is a 6-year old half marathon that offers enthusiastic runners a scenic course, which starts and ends near the Village Green, featuring some of the most beautiful and picturesque areas in Davidson, NC, and it is offered by Davidson Lands Conservancy, a non-profit organization, which in partnership with public agencies, private land owners and developers, is trying to preserve the natural beauty and ecological diversity of Davidson.


The participants also have the opportunity to volunteer for local projects that can help protect the environment, in addition to the personal satisfaction of having completed either the half marathon course, the 10k or the 5k run, the last 2 reminded runs being offered in order to give athletes of all abilities and skills the chance to participate.


The event also features exhibits and information on sustainability through which visitors can learn ways to save money, time and natural resources.
