Sports & outdoor events

 

The Annual Women's Health 5k, taking place every May in Lewisburg, benefits Family Planning Plus, which is an organization that provides Health-care services to women, as well as families, in various counties in Pennsylvania.

 

This popular annual Lewisburg event attracts more people every year and it is very much appreciated by locals and visitors, alike.

 

In 2002, the awards were granted by the famous Olympic Marathoner, Gary Fanelli, who according to the persons who were present then at the event, `added a welcome personal touch to the awards ceremony` with his good humor, racing knowledge and experience.

 

 

Festivals

 

The Annual Heart of Lewisburg Ice Festival, happening in February, is a popular annual event which takes place in Lewisburg, PA, featuring tons of sparkling, beautiful ice art, displayed in downtown Lewisburg, on Market Street, including amazing giant ice sculptures, presented in Hufnagle Park, for the entertainment of the little ones.

 

All the sculptures are made by the award winning First Night Ice Sculptors, who amaze people with their professional skills and imagination, year after year.

 

 

Nightlife

 

There isn't much to say about the nightlife scene of Lewisburg, PA. Like in any other place in USA, there are a few places where you can have a drink and relax, or start a long interesting conversation with a friend at the bar.

 

The 2 main `student bars` in town are the Towne Tavern and the Bull Run Inn, where you can listed to live bands, and there are also a couple of restaurants where you can enjoy a nice dinner (see our eating out page), as well as a popular pub or two, but except these places, there isn't much going on after the sun goes down in Lewisburg.

 

However, if you let your imagination loose, you will certainly find entertaining things to do at night, during your vacation or business trip in Lewisburg.
