Getting around in Nashville, TN

If you plan to drive to Nashville, this is what you should know: among the easiest points to access the city there is Chattanooga, Memphis, Knoxville and Louisville. The city is a nexus of several interstate highways, including I-40 (east-west), I-65 (north-south) and I-24 (northwest-southeast). A good travel tip is that it would be best to purchase a local map first, before getting behind the wheel, because sometimes the highways in Nashville merge and split, without signs that shows it, and it is probable that you would end up someplace else than your desired destination.

The Music City Star also provides a commuter train service which runs from Monday through Friday, from Lebanon to Downtown's Riverfront Station, from where you can catch the Downtown Shuttle, exit the downtown bus mall, and then take the bus, and head to your desired destination, near Nashville.

From the east: From I-24 west or I-40 west, exit onto I-440 west, and take exit 3 onto 21st Avenue. Go north for about a mile, toward downtown Nashville, and turn right onto Wedgewood Avenue. Pass the 2 stoplights and head to campus, which will be located on your right.
